Since the beginning, Beau Pre, meaning The Lovely Meadow, has been a place to remember. Today, Beau Pre Memorial Park in conjunction with Frioux-David Funeral Home provides comprehensive memorial care to Iberia Parish and surrounding area families.
Jeanerette founder, John W. Jeanerette, a Carolina gentleman came to the Teche country in 1830 and purchased Pine Grove Plantation, known as Beau Pre today. Located north of present-day Jeanerette and only 3 miles from the New Iberia City Limits, the historic home escaped the destruction of military operations in the area during the Civil War.
Situated in Iberia Parish on the banks of the beautiful Bayou Teche, Beau Pre Memorial Park is nestled under majestic Oak, Magnolia, and Pine trees offering peacefulness and tranquility. With a variety of birds and wildlife, the grounds at Beau Pre provide peace, serenity, and comfort to families. This gated,family-owned memorial park is a Louisiana Historic Landmark and offers many burial options.
Beau Pre Memorial Park areas include, the Garden of the Oaks, Outdoor Chapel West Garden, Conventional Garden, Babyland, and the Memorial Garden for families wishing for traditional ground burial.
Beau Pre Mausoleum Chapel, Garden of the Cross Mausoleum and the Family Mausoleums are for families wishing to have a loved one placed in a Mausoleum.
Beau Pre also offers cremation niches located at the Mausoleum Chapel at the right and left of the front entry to the Chapel Mausoleum and at The Garden of the Cross Columbarium.
The Veterans Garden is dedicated to the memory of our Veterans and their loved ones.
The Garden of the Cross Mausoleum "Wall of Honor" is a place for all Military Veterans that are buried in Beau Pre to be honored by placing their VA Plaques on this wall.
The Chapel Mausoleum is heated and cooled for families wishing to have a Chapel Service.
