ERATH-Funeral Services for John Vernon Broussard,72, will be 2:00PM Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at David Funeral Home of Erath with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath, Tuesday, March 19, 2019, from 9:00AM until service time.
Vernon, a native and life resident of Erath, passed away Friday, May 15, 2019, at Heart Hospital in Lafayette. He was employed with Morris Lahasky Nursing Home for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret L. Broussard; a son, Nicholas J. Broussard; four daughters, Courtney B. Vidallier and husband Brian, Erika Hargrave and husband Jason, Allison B. Jester and husband James, and Lindsay B. Abshire; grandchildren, Jacob Vidallier, Adam Vidallier, Matthew Hargrave, Elise Hargrave, Audrey Hargrave, and Aaron Abshire.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Una Thibodeaux Broussard; a brother, Wilbur Broussard, and a son-in-law Jed Abshire.
David Funeral Home of Erath, 209 East Putnam Street, (337) 937-0405 is in charge of the arrangements.
