New Iberia ~ Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Vanh Pathammavong, 76, on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Frioux-David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter Street, New Iberia, LA 70563, with cremation to follow. Visitation will begin at the funeral home Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, November 15, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and continuing on Saturday at 10:00 AM until time of funeral service. Mr. Vanh Pathammavong, 76, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at his residence in Broussard, LA surrounded by his family. He was born on March 9, 1948, in Vientiane, Laos, to parents Mr. Fanh and Mrs. Thin Pathammavong (both deceased). He proudly served in the military in Laos and also with the United States. He last worked as a fitter and welder until he retired and was able to spend more time doing what he loved most - more quality time with his family, especially his grandkids, hunting, fishing and raising his chickens. He had the most infectious smile and had a love for burgers, especially Whoppers from Burger King. Mr. Vanh is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Sompong Pathammavong; two sons, Sayanong Pathammavong (Daoleuang) and Thomas Pathammavong; one daughter, Kongmaly Pathammavong. He is also survived by his 6 siblings, Bounpanh Syharath, Yone Pathammavong, Khamchou Pathammavong, Bounyou Pathammavong, Khamla Pathammavong, and Kalem Pasith. Additionally, he is survived by his 12 grandchildren, Erika Pathammavong, Kaitlin Pathammavong, Kira Barrow, Taylor Pathammavong, Ashton Pathammavong, Landon Pathammavong, Ryker Barrow, Emma Pathammavong, Kaylynn Pathammavong, Mason Pathammavong, Sophie Pathammavong, and Grayson Pathammavong and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends from across the world.
