New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Ulysse G. Landry, 85, at 1:00PM on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Keith Landry officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home on Monday, December 30, 2024, beginning at 9:00AM until the time of service with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM. Ulysse was a dedicated family man and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a life-long resident of Jeanerette and worked for Cleco and Teche Electric for over 35 years as a lineman. In his free time, he could be found working in the yard or relaxing with his beloved dog. He was known to be an avid tennis player and gun enthusiast. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, which he excelled at, and would often build things for his family. He is survived by a daughter, Tanya Migues and her husband Jarrod of Youngsville; two sons, Chad Landry and his wife Jan of Denham Springs and Tate Landry and his wife Margaret of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Mallory Landry, Magdalyn Landry, Cecily Migues, Gavin Migues, Amelie Migues, Deanna Cannatella, and Randall Bond; and four great-grandchildren, Colton Corkern, Mason Corkern, Kendall Hudson, and Piper Joseph. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Shirley M. Landry; and his parents, Ulysse and Irene Petitfils Landry. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Landry, Tate Landry, Jarrod Migues, Gavin Migues, Kerrell Maturin, and Kurt Landry.
