New Iberia – Funeral Services for Trevor John Darby, 30, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 08, 2025, at Frioux-David Funeral Home of New Iberia with Pastor Don Norman officiating.

Visitation will begin Friday, February 07, 2025, beginning at 6:00PM until 10:00PM at Frioux-David Funeral Home of New Iberia. Visitation will resume on Saturday, February 08, 2025, at 8:00AM until the time of service.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Trevor, who left us far too soon. Trevor expressed love in many ways, but his favorite was to prepare a meal for family and friends. During his time working in upscale restaurants, he developed a love for cooking and a taste for fine cuisine. He was a fearless adventurer at heart and found joy and peace in the great outdoors. Whether kayaking on tranquil waters, hiking through scenic trails, boating along the bayous and coastlines, or exploring foreign worlds, Trevor lived for the next great journey. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his deep affection for his loyal dog, Nola, who was by his side through many of his greatest adventures. Trevor was a kind-hearted soul, always eager to lend a hand and share his love, knowledge, and passions with those around him. His warmth, laughter, and zest for life will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his parents, John and Tricia Delcambre Darby; a brother, Hunter Darby; a sister, Lexie Darby; a godchild, Emma Faith Prados; an aunt, Julie Darby Prados; a paternal grandfather, Wilton Joseph Darby; and a maternal great-grandfather, Carol “CJ” Clark.

He is preceded in death by an uncle, Jason Eliot Delcambre; his maternal grandparents, Wayne Anthony and Sherryl Andrepont Delcambre; a paternal grandmother, Betty Lou Louviere Darby; his maternal great-grandmothers, Lois Ann Clark and Lorena Hebert Clark; and his maternal great-grandfathers, Amilear “Mickey” Delcambre and Nelson Clark.

Frioux-David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter Street, New Iberia, LA, 337-369-6336, will be handling the arrangements.
