Tommy Bares

Erath- Memorial Services for Mr. Tommy Bares, 73, will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Erath on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 1:00PM with a Pastor from Our Savior's Church officiating. Interment will follow at LeBlanc Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Erath on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 9:00AM until time of services.

Mr. Tommy passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 14 years.  He was an all-around outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing with his family and friends and boating. He also loved growing vegetables for anyone and everyone. He also enjoyed cooking and feeding his friends and family. Also, he LOVED to spend time with his many nephews and nieces Aaron, Chad, Alyssa, Bethany (Beebs) and Trinity (Trin), Alana, Silas, Kainen, Killian, Carson, Tucker, Mason, Joseph, Avery, Haden, Sage, Eric and Alex.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Darlene Bares of Youngsville; his children, Christopher Bares and his wife Cheryl of Franklin, TN, and Michelle Bares of  Erath; his grandchild, Grayson Bares; his mother, Lillian Broussard Bares; his siblings, Johnny Bares and his wife Donna of Mentone, AL, Tony Bares and his wife Tiffany of Fairfax, VA, and Deana Chapman and her husband Bill of Seattle, WA; and his only living uncle, Allen Bares.

He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Bares; his brother, Ronald Bares; and his grandparents, Effie Broussard Bares and Edier Bares.
