Timothy “Timmy” Gene Patin, a beloved father, grandfather, sibling, uncle, and friend, leaves behind a legacy of adventure, generosity, and love. He embraced life with a spirit full of dreams and big goals, pursuing his passions with unwavering enthusiasm. An avid outdoorsman, Timmy found joy in hunting big game, boating, freshwater fishing, and riding his motorcycle on the open road. His love for the great outdoors was matched only by his appreciation for antiques, music, and classic cars. In his professional life, Timothy was known as Tim. He excelled as a Completion Specialist in the oilfield, where his dedication and work ethic earned him the respect of his colleagues. He was a generous man with a remarkable ability to connect with others, always willing to give away what he had without a second thought. His selflessness was a testament to his character and the love he held for those around him. As proud "Pawpaw Tim", he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. Their laughter and joy filled his heart with pride, and he was always ready to share stories, adventures, and, of course, a few life lessons. Timmy leaves behind a loving family and countless friends who will deeply miss him but will fondly remember the love and light he brought into the lives of all who knew him. He is survived by his two sons, Quincy Gene Patin and his wife Courtney of Oklahoma, and Kendall Jake Patin of Youngsville; two sisters, Brandy Edwards and her husband Tony of Youngsville, and Cheryl Pilcher of New Iberia; one brother, Joey Patin and his wife Beth of The Woodlands; one stepbrother, Troy Alford; two stepsisters, Becky Landry and Kim Meche; and his three grandchildren, Trevor, Taylor, and Brayden. He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Joseph Patin, Sr. and his wife Connie, and his mother, Barbara Elizabeth Poteet, and his brother-in-law Lawrence Pilcher. Serving as pallbearers will be Quincy Patin, Kendall Patin, Trevor Patin, Adam Bruno, Mitch Patin, and Tony Edwards. Honorary pallbearer will be Joey Patin. David Funeral Home of Lafayette 316 Youngsville Highway (337) 837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
