Youngsville - Terry Louviere, Sr. peacefully passed away on December 3rd at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a bright, spunky man who loved to make jokes and have a good time. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved to take his family and friends on camping trips to get out and enjoy nature. When the weather was nice and the sun was shining, he would get on his motorcycle and ride. When the rains came and the waters rose, he could be seen paddling around his neighborhood in his kayak to check on his friends and help out whoever he could. He loved movies, music, and dancing. As an artist and craftsman, Terry shared his gifts by drawing funny illustrations, building bird houses and model airplanes, and inventing little ways to make life easier for himself and others.
He will be missed by his daughter, Sara Louviere, his sisters, Judy Miller and Linda Aucoin, his grandchildren, Blaize Louviere and Aerian Louviere, his nieces, nephews, cousins, and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Morris Louviere, his mother, Rita Louviere, his brothers, Paul Gene Louviere and Wayne Louviere, his son, Terry John Louviere, Jr., and his dog, a Siberian husky named Siber.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, December 12th at 2 pm at Beaver Park Pavillion. 500 Fisher Rd, Lafayette. Come as you are to share jokes, stories, and a toast to Terry.
