A native of Church Point and a resident of Broussard, Mrs. Soileau died at 10:25PM on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at her residence. Suzie was a second mother to many and was fondly known as “Momma Sue”. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a doting grandmother. Suzie loved her family, lived life to the fullest and was the life of the party that never met a stranger. Music could not be played without her dancing and singing along. She was a dear friend to many and never passed up an opportunity to “run the roads” with her friends. She always wore a smile on her face and to know her was to love her.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Pat Soileau of Broussard; a son, Mac Soileau and his wife Christy of Allen, TX; two daughters, Amy Richardson and her husband Chris of McKinney, TX and Julie Chaney and her husband Trevor of Youngsville; a sister, Jane LeJeune of Church Point; and eight grandchildren, Camryn Richardson, Seth Chaney, Morgan Richardson, Landon LeBouef, Austin Chaney, Henry Soileau, Ethan LeBouef, and Luke Soileau.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonce and Leola Thibodeaux Comeaux; five brothers, Wilton Comeaux, Lolly Comeaux, Leland Comeaux, Demus Comeaux, and Dewey Comeaux; and three sisters, Juliana LaFleur, Roberta Guilbeaux, and Sally Comeaux.
