Steven P. Meyers, Sr

New Iberia– Funeral services will be conducted for Steven P. Meyers, Sr. age 74, on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at David Funeral Home Chapel with Farley J Henry officiating. Entombment will be at a later date.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and resume on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Steven P. Meyers, Sr., age 74, passed away on September 10, 2024. A devoted father, grandfather, best friend, and loyal companion, Steven was known for his deep love for his family. He cherished every moment with his children and grandchildren, who were the light of his life. When he was able, Steven found great joy in hunting and fishing, sharing those passions with his loved ones. He also found comfort in the companionship of his beloved pet, who was always by his side.

Steven proudly served his country in the New Iberia Louisiana National Guard for six years. In his spare time, he loved listening to music, dancing, and shooting pool with friends. His sense of humor and warmth will be remembered by those closest to him, especially for his playful habit of begging the right grandchild for a grape snowball. Steven’s memory will live on through the love he shared with those around him and the countless stories they will continue to tell.

Steven is survived by his children, Richard Meyers and wife Kimber, Jennifer Meyers, Steven Meyers, Jr., Brandi Meyers, Ciejie Meyers significate other Brian Horn, Jr. and Nikki Breaux Curtsinger husband Brandon; twenty-one grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ponkonin Meyers; parents, Laurie, Sr., and Mary Derouen Meyers; siblings, Don Meyers, Mike Meyers, Gayle Meyers, Laurie (Jay) Meyers, Jr.
