Shae Lynn Williford

Lafayette- Funeral Services for Shae Lynn Williford, 53, will be held at 12:00PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at David Funeral Home Chapel of Lafayette with her Aunt Debbie officiating.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 4:00PM until 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 9:00AM until the time of service.

A native of Shreveport and a resident of New Iberia, Ms. Williford passed away at her residence on Saturday, November 13,2021 at 2:00PM.

Shae was a ray of sunshine in so many people’s lives, she could light up a room with her warm smile and huge hugs! She made sure everyone knew she was there by announcing “I have a song” and would start belting out a Shae original. She loved performing for anyone willing to watch. She adored her family and friends and couldn’t wait until the next holiday or birthday gathering. Growing up Shae was involved in the Special Olympics, Girl Scouts, dancing and finished her schooling at LeRosen. She worked at LARC in Lafayette and then ARC of Iberia. Some of Shae’s favorite things in life were spaghetti, Boiled crawfish, and diet coke. She loved the movie Annie and her favorite TV show was Little House on the Prairie. Shae had many friends at Orange Grove and ARC who will miss her dearly. She leaves behind memories that will make us smile and make us laugh, memories that made us complete.

Survivors include her parents; Richard A. Williford and Christina Fair Williford of Breaux Bridge; a brother, Alan Williford of New Hampshire; two sisters, Erica Williford and Greg Bowers of Jacksonville, FL and Jessica Johnson and her husband B.J. of Youngsville. Shae was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Orange Grove, past and present, for loving Shae like family.
