Sandra Cormier

Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Sandra B. Cormier, 68, will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Sacred Heart of Broussard with Fr. Keith Landry officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery of Broussard. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 4:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 9:00AM until the time of services. A native of Youngsville and a resident of Broussard, Mrs. Sandra passed away at 6:57PM on Friday, December 10, 2021, at her residence surround by her family. Mrs. Sandra was proud to be a registered organ donor. She was a member of the RC Riders. Mrs. Sandra was a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW. She was also a member of the National Notary Association and the National Paralegal Association. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Bryant Cormier; two sons; Dana Paul “Polo” Abshire and his wife Heather and Ryon James Cormier and his wife Brittney; one daughter; Deidra Feagle; eight grandchildren; Jade Bernard and his wife Christy, Mikal Bernard, Kandice Broussard and her husband P.J., Ethan Paul Abshire, Avery Abshire, Emlynn Grace Leeper, Izabelle A’nge Lepper, and Karen Lane; eight great-grandchildren; Kai Bernard, Sailus Bernard, Paul “Paz” Broussard, Annalee Broussard, Elijah Broussard, Jacey Lane, Shyla Lane, and Mya Lane; and one godchild; Shelli Thurman. She was preceded in death by her parents Aurelie P. Bernard and Jeanette “Granny” Girouard Bernard; one brother; Steve Bernard; one son-in-law; Gregory Leblanc; one godchild; Kimberly Broussard; and her mother and father-in-Law; Gerald and Masel Cormier. Serving as pallbearers will be Dana Paul “Polo” Abshire, Ethan Paul Abshire, Jade Bernard, Kai Bernard, Elmo Cormier, Landon Cormier, Ryon Cormier, and Mikal Bernard. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bryant Cormier, Paul Broussard, David Girouard, Jarvis Charles, Eldes Broussard lll, and Anthony Broussard. Readings will be done by Deidra Feagle and Avery Abshire. Gift bears will be Jacey Lane and Kandice Broussard. A rosary will be recited by Wanda Cormier and Camela Chopin. The eulogy will be read by Christy Lane. The family of Mrs. Sandra Cormier would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice. They would also like to thank her many care givers; Ryon Cormier and Britney, Bryant Cormier, Deidra Feagle, and Wanda Cormier. After Internment, the family of Mrs. Sandra will be gathering at the home of Polo Abshire at 1003 Marteau Road Youngsville, LA 70592.
