Lafayette - Funeral services for Ryan Christopher Martin, 39, will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Deacon Art Bakeler officiating.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 1:00 PM.

Ryan passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. He graduated from Acadiana High School and was a very talented CNC machinist.  He loved fishing, four wheeling, motorcycling, hunting and cooking wild game.  He was loyal, kind hearted, patient and gentle natured.

He is survived by his father, Paul “Dwain” Martin and his wife Gwen Black Martin; his mother Colette Billeaud Smith and her husband James Smith; one sister, Ashley Nicole Marter; as well as his maternal grandparents, Jim and Loraine Newberry and Betty Foret Billeaud.

Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul “Mabry” Martin, and Eva Delle Greene Martin; his maternal grandfather, Thomas Billeaud; three uncles, Scott A. Martin, Thomas “Jake” Billeaud, Rene Billeaud; and one niece, Marcella Metzel.
