Ruth Nugent Boudreaux

New Iberia – Funeral services for Ruth Nugent Boudreaux, 91, will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Church on the Rock, 1411 E. Admiral Doyle Drive with Pastor Ryan Derouen officiating. Entombment will follow at Nativity of Our Lady Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at the church.

Ruth went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 11:10 AM at Maison Teche Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was a native of Lafayette and a resident of New Iberia and was an Investment Banker for over thirty years with New Iberia National Bank which became Regions Bank. She was an excellent seamstress in her spare time, enjoyed sewing, baking and time with the grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Bonnie Upchurch and husband Jim of New Iberia, Jim Boudreaux and wife Ruth of Broussard and Donald Jude Boudreaux of New Iberia; seven grandchildren, Wade, Lance, Beau, Josh and Ryan Boudreaux, Christopher and Michael Armentor, Jr; eleven great-grandchildren, Brittany, Brennan, Paige, Luca and Roman Boudreaux, Alex, Ava, Katelyn, Grayson and Logan Armentor; many friends who will miss her greatly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Leo “JL” Boudreaux, Sr.; parents, Alonzo Nugent, Sr. and Essie Deare Nugent; son, Tim Boudreaux; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Boudreaux; three brothers, A. L. Nugent, Jr., Wesley Oliver Nugent and Malcolm Eddie Nugent; sister, Virginia Nugent Yandle.

Pallbearers will be Wade Boudreaux, Lance Boudreaux, Beau Boudreaux, Josh Boudreaux, Ryan Boudreaux, Chris Armentor, Alec Armentor and Michael Armentor, Jr.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of Maison Teche Nursing and Rehabilitation and Grace Hospice.
