Erath - Funeral Services for Mrs. Rose Marie Faulk Gary, 77, will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at David Funeral Chapel of Erath with Pastor Jeff Scroggins officiating.  Interment will follow at a later date

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 beginning at 9:00AM until the time of the service.

A native and resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Gary died at 6:10AM on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Eastridge Nursing Center.  Mrs. Rose loved her family and was known for her love to crochet, read, watch old movies, play Pokeno, and cook.  She was also known for her pecan pralines and being a Freddie Fender fan.  She was a member of the Woodmen of the World and worked for the Council on Aging for over 20 years.

She is survived by a son, Ryan K. Gary and his wife Aimee of Boyce, LA; a daughter, Karen Lanclos and her husband Adam of Erath; two brothers, Joe Faulk and James Faulk; a sister, Carol F. Kilmer; a daughter in law, Donna Gary; six grandchildren, Alyssa George and her husband Dylan, Dyllon Menard and his wife Brianna, Jade Lanclos, Amber Lanclos, Samantha Rose Gary, and Rilyn Nicole Gary; and four great grandchildren, Emrie George, Avery George, E.J. Lanclos, and Valen Menard.

She was preceded in death by her husband Opha P. Gary, Jr.; her parents, Fidele W. Faulk and Marjorie Colombe Faulk; and two sons, Robert J. Gary and Russell P. Gary.

Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Adam Lanclos.

David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam St. (337)937-0405 will be handling the arrangement.
