Rose Hebert Doxey

Abbeville- Funeral Services for Mrs. Rose Hebert Doxey, 87, will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 11:00AM with Father Kao officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 2:00PM to 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, March 9, 2020 from 8:00AM until time of services.

A native of Abbeville, Mrs. Rose passed away at her residence on Thursday, March 5, 2020. She was a family woman that loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, making preserves, and going to the camp.

She is survived by her sons, Carl J. Doxey and his wife Judy of Thibodeaux, Oran G. Doxey and his wife Peggy of Abbeville, and Dwyane M. Doxey of Mire; her daughter, Darline S. Doxey of Abbeville; her seven grandchildren; and her thirteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Oren G. Doxey; and her parents Adrian “Chump” Hebert and Zulma Hebert.

The Doxey family would like to extend special thanks to Mrs. Doxey’s loving caregiver, Helen Viator.
