Ronald J. Kennedy, Sr.

Jeanerette– Graveside service was conducted for Ronald J. Kennedy, Sr., 77, on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Beau Pre Chapel with Father Albert Alexander officiating. Entombment will follow at Beau Pre Mausoleum.

Private visitation was held on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.

A native of Jeanerette and resident of Jeanerette, Ronald J. Kennedy, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 4:27 P.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center.  Ronald was a loving father and husband.  A few of his enjoyments in life were deer hunting, landscaping, and gardening.  His most favorite delight was his number one buddy “Brayton”, his grandson.  In the evening he and his son Bill, would spend time tending the parakeets and chickens.

He is survived by a daughter, Lorie Thibodeaux (Richard) of New Iberia; son, William Allen Kennedy of Jeanerette, Raydell Kennedy of Jeanerette; grandchild’s mother, Angela Segura of New Iberia; grandchild Brayton Kennedy.

He was preceded in death by spouse, Mary Foco Kennedy; father, William Kennedy; mother, Irene Arceneaux Kennedy, and two sons, Ronald J. Kennedy, Jr, and Jerry Vale Kennedy.
