Erath ~ A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Roberta M. Suire, 86, at 10:00AM, on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 8:00AM until the time of service, on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Erath with a recitation of the rosary at 9:00AM. Mrs. Roberta M. Suire passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025. She was a woman whose love for her family knew no bounds, always putting the needs of others before her own. Roberta found joy in the simple things in life, from tending to her beautiful garden filled with vibrant flowers and plants to watching the hummingbirds that visited her home. Her nurturing spirit extended not only to her plants but to those who had the privilege of knowing her. Known for her free-spirited nature, Roberta loved to dance to any music that played, letting the rhythm move her in a way that brought smiles to everyone around her. Despite her joyful heart, she remained a woman of great humility, never asking for more than what she needed. Roberta’s presence was a gift to all who encountered her, and she will be remembered for her simplicity and warmth she brought into the lives of those she touched. Mrs. Roberta M. Suire is survived by two sons, Shane Suire and his wife Sadie of Erath, and Shannon Suire and his Fiancé Janet Faulk of Erath; two daughters, Jacqueline Nunez and her husband Jay of Erath, and Jennifer R. Suire of Erath; one sister, Merlene Menard of Abbeville; seven grandchildren, Jessica Baudoin and husband Jude of Erath, Kelsey Sikes and husband Wesley of Erath, Jacob Nunez and wife Brianna of Arizona, Jansen Nunez of Erath, Ashlyn Broussard and husband Shay of Delcambre, Shea Suire of Erath, and Sage Suire of Erath; and six great-grandchildren, Joslynn Nunez, Alyssa Sikes, Lily Baudoin, Camille Baudoin, Rhani Sikes, and Colin Sikes. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raywood Suire; her parents, Luke and Effie Hebert Menard; one brother, Calvin Menard; and three sisters, Annie Segura, Audrey Bourque, and Velta Guillory. Pallbearers will be Bryan Delahoussaye, Jude Baudoin, Wesley Sikes, Jansen Nunez, Sage Suire, and Shea Suire. Frioux-David Funeral Home of Erath, 209 East Putnam Street, (337) 937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
