Abbeville- Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Joseph Savoy, Sr., 78, will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 2:00PM with Deacon William Vincent officiating. Cremation will follow.

Visitation will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 9:00AM until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.

A resident of Abbeville, Mr. Robert passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and dancing to French music. One of his favorite things to do was to go out to restaurants with his friends and family. Above all, Robert was a devoted family man. He treasured every moment spent with his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by many.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Helen Savoy of Abbeville; his children, Robert Savoy, Jr. and his wife Jackie of Henry, Roy “Bubba” Savoy and his fiancé Brittney of Erath, and Vanessa Savoy Pontiff and her husband Greg of Franklin; his grandchildren, Brock Savoy and his fiancé Katelyn, Craig Savoy and his wife Maci, Cassie O’Bryan and her husband Casey, and his honorary family members Irby “Chu” Roy, Jr. and his wife Candace; his great grandchildren, Chloe, Sophie, Sloane, Ella, Raylyn, Diem, Addison, Wrynn, Owen, and two more on the way; and his brother, Aubrey Savoy, Jr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Obray Savoy, Sr. and Adella Savoy; and his siblings, Rodney Savoy and Leona Hardy.
