Rita Girard Troy

Lafayette – Funeral services for Rita Girard Troy, 94, will be held Monday April 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM in David Funeral Home with Deacon Cody Miller officiating.

Visitation will be held Sunday April 11, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM, and will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until time of services. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rita was a native of New Iberia and a resident of Youngsville; she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who loved spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her four sons Vincent Troy Jr. and his wife Claire, Clarence Troy and his wife Billie, Russell Troy and his wife Norma, and James Troy; her grandchildren Tammy Bertrand, Michelle Troy, Tina Stoeser, and Samantha Joiner; she was also survived by her five great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband Vincent Troy Sr.; her parents Jules and Mary Romero Girard; and her daughter in law Audrey Troy, and her twelve siblings.

Serving as pallbearers will be James Troy, Clarence Troy, Russell Troy, Conrad Bertrand, Michael Cardiel, and Jeremy Troy.
