New Iberia- Funeral Services for Mr. Ricky Maokhamphio, 34, will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 1:00PM with cremation to follow.

Visitation will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM with a blessing at 4:00PM.

Visitation will resume on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 8:00AM until the time of services.

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Ricky Omphivanh Maokhamphio, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who left us far too soon on November 24, 2024, at the age of 34.

Ricky was born on March 15, 1990, in New Iberia, Louisiana, to Phetsamay Maokhamphio and Tim Khamvirath. In 2014, he married the love of his life, Misty Liemkeo. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Ricky was a devoted and proud father to his son, Ezra, and a constant source of wisdom, humor, and encouragement to his family.

Ricky worked as a dedicated Senior Electrical Estimator and took pride in his career. He was a loving and supportive son and sibling who always showed up for the people he cared about. In his free time, Ricky’s passion for sports shone brightly. Whether he was cheering on LSU, hanging out with friends, or coaching Ezra with pride, Ricky’s love for competition and camaraderie brought people together and created unforgettable memories.

Ricky is deeply missed by his wife, Misty Liemkeo; his son, Ezra Parker Maokhamphio; his father, Phetsamay Maokhamphio (Manivone Khanthavong); his mother, Tim Khamvirath (Noukham Sipaseuth); his sister, Laddavanh Khamvirath; his brother, Davis Khamvirath; his nephew, Dillon; and his nieces, Sophie and Demi.
