Rev. Larry Champagne

Erath – A private service for Rev. Larry Champagne, 69, will be held at LeBlanc Cemetery.

A native and resident of Erath, Rev. Champagne died at 1:27PM on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at his residence.  He was a loving family man who enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and making people laugh.  Rev. Champagne was a faithful preacher of the gospel for over 31 years and pastor of Victory Tabernacle.  He was also a contractor and master carpenter for over 47 years.  He was also known for his love to travel, cook, and having times of fellowship.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Grace Prejean Champagne of Erath; a son, Kiley Champagne and his wife Marie of Erath; three daughters, Katrina Champagne and her partner  Greg of Abbeville; Kayla Billiot and her husband Ace of Delcambre; and Kelsea Champagne of Erath; two brothers, Elie Champagne, Jr. and John Champagne; two sisters, Susan Sons and Delana Champagne; and six grandchildren, Leah Breaux, Drew Breaux and his wife Kaitlyn, Bladyn Breaux, Amiyah Billiot, Jaylon Champagne and Bryson Champagne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elie Champagne, Sr. and Audrey Lange Champagne; a brother, Rayford Champagne, Sr.; and a sister, Rita Breaux.
