Remy "Ray" Thibodeaux

Lafayette- Funeral Services for Mr. Remy “Ray” Thibodeaux, 89, will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 12:00PM with Deacon Russell Hayes officiating.  Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Frioux-David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 9:30AM until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:30AM.

A resident of Broussard, Mr. Remy “Ray” Thibodeaux passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025. He was a proud member of the Evangeline Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), where he enjoyed connecting with others who shared his passion for antique cars. He also enjoyed dancing to French music. He will me missed by many.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bobbie Thibodeaux of Broussard; his son, Michell Thibodeaux, and his wife Letha of Lake Charles; his stepson, David Johnson and his wife Monica of Marrero; his grandchildren, Megan Thibodeaux, Michell Thibodeaux, Jr., Andrew Thibodeaux, and James Johnson; and his numerous great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Remi Thibodeaux, and Louise Thibodeaux; his children,

Amelia Thibodeaux, Rickey Thibodeaux, and Richard Thibodeaux; and his siblings, Etheleen Thibodeaux, and Lynn Thibodeaux.

Serving as pallbearers will be James Johnson, John Hebert, Mitch Thibodeaux, Russell Alleman, Eddie Figueron, and Willie Elmer.
