Reggis Bergeron, Jr.

Funeral services for Reggis P. Bergeron, Jr., 45, will be Saturday, September 18, 2021 at David
Funeral Home, 316 Youngsville Hwy, Lafayette, LA 70508. Open visitation will be from 2 pm-6
pm with services held at 4pm with Rev. Scott Johnson officiating.

A native of Houma and a resident of Lafayette, LA, Mr. Bergeron died at 6:53 am on Friday,
September 10, 2021, at University Health Center. Reggis enjoyed a successful career in the
oilfield which included a considerable time overseas. He enjoyed spending time with his wife
and family, cooking, fishing, and playing golf. He was also an avid LSU football fan. He brought
smiles and laughter to many friends and family and enjoyed life to the fullest. He helped anyone
he could and always gave from his heart. He will be missed immensely by all.

He is survived by his wife, Charli Bethune Bergeron of Lafayette; his father, Reggis P. Bergeron,
Sr. and wife Debbie of Houma; two sons, Brandon Bergeron and companion Brooke Cole, and
Dylan Bergeron of Tylertown, MS; four daughters, Brittney B. Hudson and husband Trent of
Tylertown, MS, Scotti Welch, Jessi Welch, and Bradli Fettes of Lafayette, LA; three brothers,
Slugger Guidry and wife Sandy, Roy Pierron and fiance’ Ellie Whittington, and Pat Pierron; nine
sisters Kathy Pierron, Julie Wagner, Gina Bergeron and companion Darren Robert, Regina
Bergeron, Tina Boudreaux and husband Darren “Boodro”, Rosie Bergeron,
Casie Boutte and companion Chris Dull, Brandy Bergeron and fiance’ Shawn Miller, and Brook
Boutte; and one grandchild on the way, Emma Grace Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Chyenne Lirette Pierron of Dulac, LA and his
step-father, Errol Pierron; one Son Devin Bergeron.
