New Iberia– A Private Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date for Phyliss D. Boudreaux, 77, who passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 8:29 a.m. at her residence in New Iberia.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Phyliss D. Boudreaux was born on November 24, 1944, to George “Paw” and Irene Barfield Mc Cartney
Phyliss was a Register Nurse and had been in nursing for over 40 years. Beginning her nursing career as an LPN and returned to school to become a Register Nurse.
She enjoyed baking, sewing, traveling with friends and family on cruises. During her quiet time at home, she loved to read novels by Steven King and watch “The Duke” John Wayne in western movies.
Phyliss is survived by her children, Whitney J. Boudreaux, Jr (Josie) of New Iberia, Richard D Boudreaux, Sr. (Judy) of North Dakota, Elizabeth Charpentier (Lee) of New Iberia, Traci B. Darby (Chad) of Jeanerette; siblings, Shelby Day, Darlene Edsall (Sarge), Sue Williams (Chuck); fourteen grandchildren, and 8 great-greatgrandchildren,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitney J. Boudreaux, Sr; parents, George “Paw” and Irene Barfield Mc Cartney, and a sister, Gloria Thibodeaux.
