Phan Thi Tra

Lafayette– Funeral services will be held for Ms. Phan Thi Tra, 66, on Friday, May 17, 2024 at (time pending) at David Funeral Home of Lafayette with the Tinh Do Buddhist Monks officiating. Interment will follow the next week in Da Nang Cemetery in Da Nang, Vietnam.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2024 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette, from 9:00AM until 9:00PM.

Ms. Tra, hailed from the vibrant city of Da Nang, Vietnam and came to the United States under family reunification to be with her daughter. She was a devoted matriarch, radiating love and tenderness as a mother and grandmother. Her nurturing touch extended beyond mere affection; she actively participated in the upbringing of her grandchildren, a role cherished deeply by her children.

She is survived by her son, Vo, Thanh Quang and wife, Huynh, Thi Thu Huong and their children, Vo Thanh Cuong and Vo Huynh Gia Han.

She is also survived by her daughter, Cindy Vo and husband Danny Nguyen and their children, Amy Vo Nguyen, Tina Vo Nguyen, Kayden Vo Nguyen, and Skylar Vo Nguyen.

Survivors include her mother That Thi Nguyen; and brother, Tra Van Cong.

She was preceded in death by her father, Phong Van Tra; and brother, Tra Van Chuc.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nursing and family and friends that helped Ms. Phan Thi Tra during her illness.

The family requests not to receive flowers or gifts for the funeral service.
