Lafayette – A Mass of Christian burial for Perry John Buford II, 48, will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church with Fr. Jason Vidrine officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 8:30AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, until the time of service with a recitation of the rosary at 10:00AM.

Perry John was a special gift that was given to so many in this world and brought joy to everyone he met. He was truly a people person who won your heart and was always smiling. He had the most beautiful blue eyes that would just lure you to him. He was very courageous in his suffering and rarely ever complained. He loved to be on the move. Some of his favorite places were The Acadiana Mall, Pete’s, Legends and especially “dancing” at Randol's.

He is survived by his mother, Anita Bondi Morrow; his father, Perry John Buford, Sr., and his wife Sharon; three sisters, Yvette Fournet and her husband David Irons, Alicia McDuffie, and her husband Charles, and Jennifer Buford; four nephews, Grant Guidry, Gavin Buford, Jacob McDuffie and Christian McDuffie; and numerous aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edwin, and Mildred Buford; and his maternal grandparents, Joseph, and Vida Bondi.

Serving as pallbearers will be Grant Guidry, Charles McDuffie, Jacob McDuffie, Christian McDuffie, David Irons and Samuel Antoine.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to all of his caregivers throughout his life.
