In Loving Memory of Peggy Lynn Anderson Abbeville - Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 11 a.m. at David Funeral Home of Abbeville. Interment will follow at Saint Paul’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and will resume Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Peggy Lynn (Vitello) Anderson, 72, passed away on September 13, 2023. She was born on August 29, 1951, in Abbeville, LA, to Leonard Roland Vitello and Velta Vitello (neé Primeaux). Peggy Anderson is survived by her loving husband, Robert Louis Anderson Jr.; son, Sean Gregory Anderson; daughter, Lauren (Anderson) Auverset van Gerwen; son-in-law, Caspar van Gerwen; and granddaughter, Luna Athena van Gerwen, along with extended family members and friends. Peggy was a graduate of Abbeville High School, class of 1969. Throughout her lifetime, Peggy experienced a journey filled with personal challenges and growth. She had a unique approach to life and was known for her love of Cajun food and culture and had special joie de vivre for the local festivals and music of Acadiana. Most of all, Peggy had a strong determination to live life on her own terms. Peggy found solace in the warmth of her connections with those closest to her, and there is no doubt that she loved those she held dearly with everything she had. Her voyage served as a testament to the intricate tapestry of human nature. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Hospice of Acadiana to support those facing an advanced or terminal illness in a manner that respects and enhances quality of life. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the condolences and support they have received during this difficult time.
