Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Pearly Landry Mathews, 90, will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 1:00PM with Fr. Kenneth Mayne officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Tuesday August 27, 2024 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 8:00AM until time of services. A resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Pearly passed away surrounded by family members on Saturday, August 24, 2024. She loved dancing and listening to French music. Mrs. Pearly also enjoyed just about everything about being outside, especially tending to her garden. Above all, so loved her spending time with her family. She will be missed by many. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Delahoussaye of Carencro, and Mickey Delahoussaye of Carencro; her daughters, Vickey Delahoussaye of Abbeville, Alicia Segura of New Iberia, and Annie Marceaux of Abbeville; her sister, Virley Derouen; her grandchildren, Brandon, Lanie’, Mickey II, Morgan, Kenni, Kyle, Erica, Britni, Alexis, Kensley, Tyler, Brayden, and Reese; and her eighteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gervais Mathews; her parents, Gladu Landry, Sr. and Anastasia LeBouef Landry; her son, Daniel Delahoussaye; her brothers, Gladu Landry, Jr. and Oris Landry; and her great-grandchildren, Kamille and Catalina. Mrs. Pearly’s family would like to express their thanks to Mrs. Glenda Sellers for the upmost care provided to her. Serving as pallbearers will be Audie Marceaux, Tyler Marceaux, Bradon Marceaux, Mickey Delahoussaye II, Kyle Delahoussaye, and Zadon Blanco. David Funeral Home of Abbeville 2600 Charity St. (337)893-3777 will be handling the arrangements.
