Pamela Faye "Mink" Prosper Bonin

New Iberia– A Memorial Service will be held for Pamela Faye “Mink” Prosper Bonin, 66, on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 2:00PM at the David Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia with Rev. Msgr. J. Robert Romero officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 10:00AM until the time of the service. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30AM led by the Men’s Rosary Group.

“Mink” as she was affectionately known, was a remarkable woman whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Mrs. Bonin was a truly outgoing and flamboyant soul, always lighting up the room with her infectious energy and vivacious personality. Her outspoken nature was a testament to her honesty and genuine approach to life. Above all, she was a loving and caring individual, whose selflessness knew no bounds. Her devotion to her family was unparalleled, especially her adoration for her grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly. Mrs. Bonin found immense joy in spending quality time with her loved ones, creating cherished memories that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her.

Mrs. Bonin's passions were as vibrant as her spirit. She found solace in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was tending to her beloved flowers, a testament to her nurturing nature, or indulging in the thrill of shopping, a pursuit that brought her immense delight. Her love for these activities reflected her appreciation for the beauty in the world around her. In the legacy she leaves behind, Mrs. Bonin will always be remembered as a loving matriarch, a devoted grandmother, and a radiant soul whose kindness and zest for life inspired everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Tim Bonin of New Iberia; two sons, Bucky Bonin and wife Lauren of Broussard, Luke Bonin and wife Stephanie of Broussard; and her grandchildren, Brayden, Ethan, Austin, Tanner, Reagan, and Marilyn Bonin all of Broussard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Lois Laviolette Prosper; and her grandparents.

The family would like to thank NSI Hospice and her caregiver, Jadda Lewis, for her loving care and friendship.
