Ovey Pierre Leblanc Jr.

Loreauville- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ovey Pierre LeBlanc, Jr., 63, a resident of Loreauville, Louisiana, who left us on September 20, 2023. Ovey was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in the beauty of landscaping and the soothing melodies of soft rock music.

Born February 14, 1960, Ovey's passion for landscaping transformed his surroundings into breathtaking works of art. His meticulous attention to detail and green thumb were evident in the vibrant gardens and lush lawns that graced his community. Ovey's dedication to nurturing nature's beauty brought smiles to the faces of all who had the pleasure of witnessing his creations.

When not tending to his gardens, Ovey found solace in the world of soft rock music. Whether it was the timeless classics or the latest hits, his music collection was a reflection of his gentle and kind spirit. He would often be found with headphones on, lost in the melodies that brought him comfort and inspiration.  He will be remembered not only for his green thumb and musical passion but also for the warmth of his heart and the kindness that he extended to all who crossed his path.

Ovey LeBlanc's memory will forever bloom in the gardens he tended and the music he cherished. May he rest in eternal peace.

Ovey is survived by his mother, Rita Carbo; sisters, Juanita Dugas (Dumas) and Roxie LeBlanc; and brothers, Johnny LeBlanc (Vickie) and Clint LeBlanc (Tammy).  He is also survived by countless nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ovey LeBlanc Sr.; step-father, Willie Carbo and brother-in-law, Minos Derouen.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Dumas Dugas, Johnny LeBlanc, Clint LeBlanc, Jeremy Dugas, Chad Guillotte, Bodie Dugas, Alex LeBlanc, and Dustin Courrege.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ovey on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Bill Melancon officiating. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Loreauville on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 8:30AM until the time of the service.
