Onealia Ragin

Youngsville – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Onealia Henry Ragin, 91, will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Russo officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 beginning at 9:00AM until the time of the service with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM.

A native of Patterson and a resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Ragin died at 8:16AM on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at her residence.  She was known for her enjoyment of cooking, having family gatherings, and going to the casino.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Richard “Dickie” Ragin, Jr. of Youngsville; two sons, Bobby Lee Cuvillier of Morgan City, and Russell Cuvillier and his wife Belinda of Youngsville, her daughter, Gloria C. Comeaux and her husband Huey of Amelia; a daughter in law, Myrna Cuvillier; eight grandchildren, Brian Ragin, Tina Greene, Bunny Martin, Christine Cuvillier, Chet Cuvillier, Ryan Cuvillier, Darren Cuvillier, and Blake Cuvillier; two brothers, Sterling Lee Roy and John Irvin Roy; a sister, Shirley Ann Ohmer; nineteen great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam Henry and Edna Tootsie Comeaux Roy; a son, Ronald Wayne Cuvillier; a daughter, Juanita Ragin; four brothers, Howard Adolph, Earl William, Adam Henry and Oliver Roy, Jr.; a sister, Rita Mary Roy; her step dad, Oliver Roy, Sr.; one great grandchild; and a great great grandchild.

Serving as pallbearers will be Darren Cuvillier, Blake Cuvillier, Jason Beasley, Shane Greene, Chet Cuvillier, and John Burke Roy.

Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Ryan Cuvillier.

David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
