Norma Jean Thompson Roy

Abbeville – Funeral services for Norma Jean Thompson Roy, 75, will be held Saturday July 18, 202 at 1:00 PM in David Funeral, with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating.

Visitation will be held Saturday July 18, 2020 from 9:00 AM until time of services. Burial will follow in Leger cemetery in Indian Bayou.

Norma was a native of Mamou La and a resident of Abbeville’ she loved playing pokino, buree, fishing, traveling but of all she loved spending time with her friends and family. Norma passed away Monday July 13, 2020 at a New Orleans Hospital.

Survivors include her children Jason and his wife Jessica Roy, and Monique and her husband Tommy Terrebonne; her grandchildren Tate and Marae Terrebonne, and Mason and Anabelle Roy. She is also survived by her sisters Becky Romero, Angela Thompson, and Mallory Savant; half brother Todd Thompson, and half sister Jan Thompson.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Davis Roy; her parents Calvin and Audrey Verrett Thompson; sister Pamela Gary; half sister Rita Fae Soileau; step mother and step father Elise Mae Thompson and Abby Savant.

David Funeral Home 2600 Charity St. is in charge of arrangements.
