Nicholas Francis Gary

Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial for Nicholas Francis Gary, 76, will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Casey Dugas officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 3:00PM until 7:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will continue Friday, November 3, 2023 at 8:00AM until the time of service.

A native and resident of Broussard, Nicholas Francis Gary passed away Friday, October 27, 2023. He enjoyed his hobbies of writing and coloring. He was known for riding his bicycle everywhere and playing the accordion.

He is survived by his two sisters, Mabel Toutchique of Broussard and Lawrence Johns and her husband Robert of Dayton, Tx; three nephews, Robert Johns, James Johns and Steven Johns; a niece Angela Marie Johns; four great-nephews, Timothy Martin, Thomas James Coleman, Matthew Coleman and Peter Lynn; a great-niece, Mary Galentine; five great-great-nephews, Timothy “TJ”, Zion, Thomas, Jr., Steven, Jr., and Nathan; and seven great-great-nieces, Ava, Allison, Kelsey, Krysta, Rebecca, Sumer and Kendra.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sophie Gary; his parents, Francis Gary and Eda Thibodeaux; a sister, Mildred Gary; and a niece, Catherine Toutchique.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Johns, Jr., James Johns, Timothy Martin, Thomas Coleman, Matthew Coleman, Vorhees Short and Kendall Fontenot.
