Nelson Louis Hollier

Erath- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Nelson Hollier, 91, will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 2:00PM with Fr. Sensat officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church from 1:00PM until time of services with a recitation of the rosary at 1:30PM.

A long-time resident of Erath, Mr. Nelson Hollier passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024. Mr. Nelson was a very kind-hearted and sociable person. He never met a stranger nor hesitated to help someone in need. His favorite pass time was spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his son, Rickey Hollier and his wife Cheryl of Covington; his daughter, Sandra Hale and her husband Ray of Lafayette; his brother, Leonard Hollier and his wife Gloria of Abbeville; his daughter-in law, Ping Hollier of Erath; his grandchildren, Drew Frederick, Taylor Frederick, Ashlie Murton, Charly Downen, Brittany Hollier, Jilian Hollier, Brees Hollier, Dennis Crocker, and Andrew Crocker; and his seventeen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Therese Bourque Hollier; his parents, Alphe Hollier and Anna Romero Hollier; his son, Eric Hollier; his brothers, Wilton Hollier, Riley Holler, and Larry Hollier; and his sisters, Rita Leleux and Rena Trahan.

Serving as pallbearers will be Drew Frederick, Taylor Frederick, Rickey Hollier, Andrew Crocker, Dexter Bourque, and Wilton Hollier.

Serving and honorary pallbearers will be Brees Hollier and Ray Hale.

The Hollier family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Maison du Monde Nursing Home as well as to Bridgeway Hospice for their exceptional care for Mr. Nelson.
