A resident of Youngsville, Ms. Natalie passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021. She liked playing cards and going to the casino, solving puzzles, camping, bowling on her Wii, and reading to children. Throughout the years she participated in the Special Olympics organization performing in the bowling and horseshoes competitions. She enjoyed being the center of attention and held the title of “Queen Bee” and was quick to keep her parents “in line”. Every night around 8 o’clock, Natalie’s dog Angel would remind her that it was time for their nightly treat. Natalie would get ice cream and Angel would get a treat of her own.
She is survived by her parents, Lawrence and Linda Romero; Adam Romero (brother) and his wife Danielle; her godfather, Gaylon Romero and his wife Angela; her godmother, Laura Mayer and her husband Ricky (Parrain Boudin); numerous aunts and uncles: Charlene Romero; Beverly and Larry Fontenot; Darell and Magdalen Romero; Betty and Lonnie Trimble; Cathy Trimble; Alberta and Danny Broussard; Stacy and John Viator; Casey and Cindy Romero; as well as her beloved dog Angel.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Willis and Laura Mae Romero; her maternal grandparents, Howard Sr. and Jane Romero; her uncles, Howard Jr. Romero, Russell Romero, and Stephen Trimble Sr.; and her cousin, Mitch Trimble.
Serving as pallbearers will be T-Joe Duhon, Adam Romero, Gaylon Romero, David Hebert, Travis Duhon, and Stephen Trimble Jr.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren who knew her as their beloved Nanny Nat.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the people who touched Natalie’s heart and loved her unconditionally. She never met a stranger who didn’t love her back. A special thanks to Deacon Cody Miller as well, for all the special prayers that he has given to Natalie throughout the years. The family would also like to thank Natalie’s nurses at the ICU of Ocshner-Lafayette General, all of her amazing doctors for the care they have given her throughout the years and Amanda Perrodin for all of her love and care for their family.
