Myrna Hanson

New Iberia– A Celebration of life will be conducted for Myrna Hanson later for the immediate family and close friends.

A native of Buffalo, Oklahoma, and a resident of New Iberia. She was born to Loyd and Nola Owens Greelee. Myrna Hanson, age 79, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at her residence in New Iberia.

Myrna loved shopping, eating crawfish, and having family time.  She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be dearly missed.

Myrna is survived by daughter Cheryl Boutte; her son Jon Hanson; grandchildren, Natasha Boutte, Krista Carpenter, James Boutte, Tyler Hanson, and Trevor Hanson; great-grandchildren, Jadyn Boutte, Jazper Landry, Tucker Carpenter, and Emma Carpenter; siblings, Rex Greenlee, and Raymond Greenlee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Hanson; parents, Loyd and Nola Owens Greenlee.

The family would like to thank the staff of Community Hospice for their love and support.
