Murlene Delahoussaye Leitner

New Iberia– Funeral services will be conducted for Murlene Delahoussaye Leitner, age 81, on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 2:00PM at the David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Garrett Savoie officiating. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home before the service at 11:00 a.m. A native and resident of New Iberia, Murlene D. Leitner passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Iberia Medical Center. Murlene loved her family, especially the grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She spent many years working as an accountant and was very well organized with her finances. She loved her private moments with her thoughts during her quiet time. Murlene is survived by her son, Robert Leitner, Jr.; daughter, Wendy Guyote; grandchildren, Nicole Guyote, and John Guyote. She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Paul Leitner; parents, Dulias, Sr. and Noelie Robert Delahoussaye; siblings, Delores Bonin, Barbara Ann Delahoussaye, Dulias Delahoussaye, Jr., and John Delahoussaye.
