Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mildred Guilbeau Trahan, 88, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Russo officiating. Interment will follow at St. Ann’s Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 3:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. The Funeral Home will remain open all night until the time of the services on Saturday. A native of Broussard and a resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Trahan passed away peacefully on Monday, February 28, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Mildred loved to crochet and to gift her creations to family members. However, she enjoyed working with the children at the daycare most of all. She is survived by one son; Kenneth Trahan and his wife, Jennifer, of Youngsville; two daughters; Margaret Cormier and her husband, Wilmer, of Youngsville and Lynn Flowers of Youngsville; eight grandchildren; Chad Cormier, Christy Soileau, Toby Melancon, Twila Holmes, Nathanael Trahan, Marcus Trahan, Kelci Flowers, and Mason Flowers; seven great grandchildren; Henry Soileau, Luke Soileau, Scout Holmes, Fox Holmes, Slate Trahan, Silas Trahan, and Milo Trahan; and two sisters; Joyce Veron and Jeanette Latour. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Pershing Trahan. Her parents, Clemile Guilbeau and Marie Romero Guilbeau. And three brothers; Jessie Guilbeau, Adam Guilbeau, and Leroy Guilbeau. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Cormier, Toby Melancon, Nathanael Trahan, Marcus Trahan, and Mac Soileau, and Mason Flowers.
