Mary Dunklin Gaither

Jeanerette– Funeral services will be conducted for Mary Dunklin Gaither, 77, on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 11:00AM at David Funeral Home Chapel of Jeanerette with Father Albert Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 3:00PM until 9:00PM, and resume on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 8:00AM until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 7:00PM.

A native of Jacksonville, TX and resident of Jeanerette, LA, Mrs. Gaither passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 6:23AM at Iberia Medical Center. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She enjoyed her time spent working at the family business, Hubertville Express, and working with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Jamie Gaither and wife Beth of Jeanerette and Shane Gaither and wife Joy of Jeanerette; one daughter, Teresa Talley and husband Keith of Jeanerette; and stepdaughter, Candy Webb and husband Todd of Biloxi, MS; grandchildren; Tyler McElfresh, Ashton Myers and husband Rob, Shane Webb, Robert Borgerson, Kodi Gaither, Sydni Gaither, Zachary Bonin, and Amber Gaither; two great grandchildren; Avery Coughlin and Caroline Myers; one brother, Charles Dunklin; four sisters; Carolyn Murrey, Donja Justice, Tammi Rosas, and Traci Wallace.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Gaither; her parents James Lafayette Dunklin and Cora Ward; one brother, Wayne Dunklin; one sister, Linda Gressley.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Tyler McElfresh, Zachary Bonin, Rob Myers, Shane Webb, Todd Webb, Bobby Harris.
