Lafayette- Funeral Services for Mary Lois Jones Carlson, 73, will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 11:00 AM at David funeral Home of Lafayette with Pastor David Baudoin officiating.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021, from 4:30PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, November 30,2021 at 8:00AM until the time of service. Interment will be at later date.

A native of St. Landry, LA and a resident of Youngsville, Ms. Carlson passed away at 7:59PM on Thursday, November 25, 2021, surrounded by her family. Ms. Carlson worked for the Office of Family Support and retired after 30 years of working in her career. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan. Ms. Carlson loved to play golf and liked to skeet shoot; she often out did the men in shooting. She also enjoyed watching her favorite football team the New Orleans Saints.

Survivors of Ms. Carlson include one son; Joseph Lee Carpenter of Youngsville; two daughters; Vicki Reynolds Clopton and her husband Joel of Hessmer, LA, and Wendy Lee Reynolds and her Fiancé Jeremy Blaine Miller of Lafayette; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two brothers; Reverend Walter Jones and his wife Janice, and Daniel Webb Jones, Jr.; two sisters; Stella Jones Roberts, and Sheila Jones Prejean and her husband Greg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Daniel Webb Jones, Sr. and Mary Victoria West Jones; one sister; Blanche Jones O’Haran; one niece, Anita Jones Causey; and a great-grand daughter, Kaydence Olivia Reynolds.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jessie Carpenter, Trevor Carpenter, Greg Prejean, Orey Meyers, Joel Clopton, and Jeremy Miller.
