A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville, Marvin James Broussard passed away at Maison Du Monde Nursing Home.

Mr. Marvin J. Broussard, a man of remarkable warmth and candor, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Marvin's life was a vibrant celebration of family, love, and authenticity. A culinary virtuoso in the kitchen, he delighted in preparing sumptuous meals for his cherished family and friends, creating a symphony of flavors that brought them together time and time again. With a heart that cherished the joys of having a large family, he reveled in the cacophony of laughter, stories, and love that filled his home. For 26 years, he shared an enduring and loving partnership with his wife, Eppie Cherelle, and the devotion he poured into her extended to his children and grandchildren, for whom he was a steadfast source of support and affection.

Marvin was a straightforward man, never one to hold back what was on his mind, and his integrity was unwavering. He was a man of his word, and when he made a promise, it was etched in stone. His loyalty was boundless, and his unwavering commitment to those he loved was a testament to his character. Marvin's love for life extended to his passion for "grown folk music," where he would dance the night away, reveling in the music that brought him immense joy. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we remember Marvin J. Broussard as a beacon of love, integrity, and authenticity, whose legacy will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
