Mark Michael Melancon

Erath – Graveside Services for Mr. Mark Michael Melancon, 57, will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

A native of Lafayette and a resident of Erath, Mr. Melancon died on Monday, September 5, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center.  Mark worked in the oilfield most of his life and was a jack of all trades.  He was know for his enjoyment of fishing, hunting, and going to the camp.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Wanda Dugas Melancon of Erath; a son, Clinton J. Melancon and his wife Brittney of Erath; two daughters, Kimberly Nicole Melancon of Erath and Desarae Nicole Lee Dugas of Erath; two brothers, Chad Melancon and Troy Melancon; a sister, Angie Lillie; and seven grandchildren, Joshua Henderson. Adien Zanders, Latrayvian Cullvan, Jayda Zanders, Kyra Henderson, Juanita Melancon, and Hunter Melancon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolti Melancon, Jr. and Judy Suire Melancon.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Henderson, David Melancon, Randy Lillie, Sr., Randy Lillie, Jr., Joey Vincent, and Keith Dore.
