Marjorie Frederick Stelly

Abbeville- A mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Marjorie Frederick Stelly will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM, with Father Francois Sante-Marie officiating. Interment will follow at St Paul Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 9AM until 10PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 8AM until time of services.

A resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Marjorie passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021. She was a devoted member of the St. Theresa Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and going to church.

She is survived by her daughters, Victoria LeMaire of Abbeville, Deborah Broussard and her husband Phil of Florida, and Christine Maitre and her husband Leon of Texas; her sister Elvina Campbell of Meaux; her grandchildren, Paulette Peltier and her husband Chris, Karen Suire and her husband Patches, Mary Maitre, Crystal Broussard, Kevin Broussard and his wife Julia, and Leon Maitre, Jr. and his wife Casey; her twelve great grandchildren; and her ten great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gaston Stelly; her parents, Felix Frederick and Victoria Bourque; her brothers, Joseph E. Frederick, Lloyd Frederick, and Ulyesis Frederick; her sisters, Della Savoy, Lena Desormeaux, Josephine Devliar, Eunice Savoy, and Abella Hebert; her grand daughters, Veronica Breaux and Yevette Uriegas; her great-great grand daughter, Aubrie Uriegas; and her son-in-law, Wilmer LeMaire.

Serving as pallbearers will be Leon Maitre, Jr., Kevin Broussard, Brody Suire, Christopher Peltier, Aaron Uriegas, and Greg Boling.

Psalm 139:16   You saw me before I was born.  Every day of my life was recorded in your book.  Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
