Mae Derise

New Iberia- Graveside Services for Mrs. Mae Derise, 88, will be held at Beau Pre Cemetery on a later date.

Mrs. Mae passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing and spending time with her family. In the last three and a half years of being a resident of Landmark, she made many friends and was loved by all her girls. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her children, Tod Derise of Lydia, and Cyd Buteau and her husband Karl of Jenerette; her grandchildren, Ryan Buteau and his wife Nancy, Michael Buteau and his wife Brenda, and Kristen Engle and her husband Nick; and her great grandchildren, Emmeline Buteau, Brennan Engle, and Harley Engle.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Derise; her son, Chris Derise; her parents, George and Elma Broussard; her brother, Robert ”Bobby” Broussard; and her sister, Mary Alice Murray.
