Madeline, born July 22, 1939, in the small town of Erath, Louisiana, was affectionately known as Granny by her adoring grandchildren. In her youth, Madeline was the owner and operator of Madeline's Beauty Den. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. To her grandchildren, she was more than a grandmother, she was a shoulder to lean on, a guiding light, and above all, she was a trusted confidant to all. Granny's holidays were evenings to remember; everyone couldn't wait to eat, because everyone knows she cooked the best. Stews, gumbos; didn't matter, it was good enough to scoop with a slice of bread. Her radiance will be greatly missed, as our matriarch lays to rest.
