Lula Mae Hebert

March 7, 1937 — September 4, 2021

Lafayette- A mass of Chrisitan Burial for Mrs. Lula Mae Hebert, 84, will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 11AM with Fr. Louis Richard officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, September 6, 2021, from 5PM until 8PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, from 8AM until time of services.

A resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Lula Mae passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, making beaded jewelry and coloring. She loved spending time with her grand children and her great grandchildren. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies Altar Society. Her family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers: Mindy Narcisse, Roshawn Francis, and Joy and to Hospice of Acadiana.

She is survived by her sons, Byron Hebert and his wife Melanie of Broussard, Leonard Hebert and his wife Trudy of Youngsville, and Joey Hebert and his wife Yvette of Youngsville; her daughters, Tammy Vannoy and her husband Jon of Broussard, and Tina Richard and her husband Robert of Broussard; her sisters, Anna Mae Callier of Orange, TX, and Ethel Dugas and her husband Gerald of Loreauville; her grandchildren, Rob Richard, Brad Hebert, Jonathan Vannoy, Jake Richard, Alaina Duhon, Garet Vannoy, Kacie Drake, Derrick Hebert, Zack Vannoy, Alyssa Hebert, and Rachel Guidry; her 10 great grandchildren, and one on the way; and her dear friend and companion, Billy Miller.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roland Hebert, her parents, Dudley Savoy and Ludey Latiolais Savoy; a granddaughter, Cristi Hebert; and her sisters, Clamae Guidry and Hilda Savoy.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rob Richard, Brad Hebert, Jonathan Vannoy, Jake Richard, Garet Vannoy, Derrick Hebert, and Zack Vannoy.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Alaina Duhon, Kacie Drake, Alyssa Hebert, and Rachel Guidry.

To help keep the community safe we will honor the August 01, 2021, Louisiana Mandates, all families and their guests are required to wear a face covering while at the funeral home and church. Thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented time.
