Abbeville - Funeral services will be held for Loretta Mouton at David Funeral Home of Abbeville, 2600 Charity St, Abbeville La, 70510 on Saturday June 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Darrel Briggs Sr, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be at David Funeral of Abbeville on Saturday, June 1, 2024 beginning at 9:00AM until the time of the services. Loretta Mouton was born on March 21, 1967 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Roy Wendell Mouton Sr and Perilla Ellen Hardy, raised in Intracoastal city, Louisiana and then moved to Abbeville Louisiana. She attended Seventh Ward Elementary and Abbeville High School. Loretta was a homemaker and most importantly a mother. She was affectionately known as “Bugga'' to her close family and friends. She will be remembered for her amazing smile, easy going spirit and her love for all living things. Loretta loved animals, especially elephants. She passed that love for animals to her only child. If you know Jade you know she practically has a farm at her house. Loretta was a quiet soul; she never had much to say, but when she did, she made her feeling well known. She was a simple woman, she loved country music and comedy TV shows. She would often spend her afternoons riding the back roads in the country with Duck, listening to Michael Bolton. While she had a quiet spirit, she leaves a loud memory to all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and caring daughter Jade Symone Mouton, of Abbeville, and two handsome grandsons, Jaiden Cole Mouton and Dillan Cade Comeaux; one grand dog Cairo; Her devoted mother Perilla Ellen Hardy Mouton; her loving husband Kent “Duck” Vincent of Abbeville; four sisters Jaunita Allison (Uzziah Zee) of Pensacola, Florida, Dianne M Landry (Richard Sr Deacon) Marilyn J Briggs (Brandon Sr.), and Tina J Mouton, all of Abbeville, LA ; one sister in law Winfred Mouton; her god daughter Odette Mouton Robinson; her aunts Maebelle Valcin of Port Authur, TX and Marry Ann Mouton of Abbeville, eight nephews; nine nieces; numerous great nieces and great nephews and well as a host of cousins and family friends. Loretta was preceded in death by her father, Roy Wendell Mouton Sr; her brothers Roy Wendell Mouton, Jr and Arthur Esaw Mouton, and one sister Yolanda Zanetta Mouton Briggs; Her maternal grandparents Arthur and Ellen Hardy; her paternal grandparents Esaw Mouton Sr and Ester Mouton; her aunts Jeanette Coleman, Ether Mae Fenton, Clara Mouton, Tereas Cooper and her uncles Esaw mouton Jr, James Mouton, Her nephew Joshua L’Roy Briggs, Kai Ballard and her niece Brittney Mouton. Pallbearers will be Brandon Briggs Jr, Skyler Briggs, Richard Landry Jr, Aaron Ballard, Justin Ballard and Kaigen Pillette Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Landry Sr, Brandon Briggs Sr, Uzziah Allison, Albert Jackson Jr, Tyrek Landry, Jacob Briggs, Zayin Mouton and Aurris Wiltz. David Funeral Home of Abbeville at 2600 Charity St. (337)893-3777 will be handling the arrangements.
