Lillian Marie Lewis

Lillian M. (Kearns) Lewis, 97, died peacefully surrounded by her family on February 24, 2024.  Funeral services will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery, 401 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 (412) 655-4501) on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 10AM with Pastor Ben officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.

Lillian (Kearns) Lewis was born October 7, 1926, in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Langley High School.  Lillian was a single-working parent who raised her only son, Bryce Allen Lewis, Jr., with the assistance of her in-laws, after her husband, Bryce Allen Lewis, Sr. of 11 years passed away in 1962.   Lillian worked at Mellon Bank’s Principal Office in Pittsburgh, PA for 35 years with her last position being Assistant Vice President of the Trust Dept.  She retired from Mellon Bank in December of 1985.  Lillian moved to Venice, Florida, where she resided for 27 years.  She then moved to Lafayette, LA in 2018 to live with her son, Bryce A. Lewis, Jr., and his wife, Aritha.

Lillian is survived by her brother William Kearns of Richmond, VA; her niece, Kathy (Kearns) Martin; her son, Bryce A. Lewis Jr., and his wife Aritha of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren; Tiffany (Lewis) Sellers and husband, Jarrod of Lafayette, LA; Jason A. Lewis of Long Beach, CA; and great-grandchildren, Owen and Liam Sellers and Trent Lewis and Bryce James Lewis Jr.

Proceeded in death by her husband, Bryce A. Lewis, Sr. who passed away in 1962; her mother, Frances (Henwood) Kearns; her father Uriah Burke Kearns; and her grandson, Bryce J. (B.J.) Lewis passed away in 2015.
