Lester J. Colomb, Sr.

Erath – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Lester J. Colomb, Sr., 85, will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Sensat officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home in Erath beginning at 9:30AM until the time of service with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM. Lester J Colomb Sr was a long-time resident of Erath, Louisiana. During his residency he managed a Texaco station for 4 years and a popular restaurant called Bobcat Den. He also farmed and loved the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His grandchildren will forever have memories of playing on the tree house Papaw built for them, hours spent with Papaw swinging them on a playset, and the Easter hayrides at Memaw and Papaw’s house. Family was his priority. He was greatly loved and he will remain in our hearts forever. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Emma Dean Colomb; three daughters, Angel Colomb Cameron and her husband Gregory, Sr., Jacqueline Colomb and Jill Colomb Vincent and her husband Blake; a son, Lester Colomb, Jr. and his wife Tammy; thirteen grandchildren, Kelly, Nick, Greg, Ashley, Meagan, Karen, Jenny, Jessica, Jaci, Jacob, Brooke, Emma and Ryan; and 17 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Annonciade Touchet Colomb; three sisters, Irene Colomb Dore’, Velta Colomb Guillotte and Louise Colomb Landry; and three brothers, Presley Colomb, Dalton Colomb and John Colomb. Serving as pall bearers will be Joseph Sidney Jennings, Nicholas Paul Colomb, Lane Michael Schlabach, Gegory Cameron, Jr., Andre’ Setara and Jacob Martarona. David Funeral Home 209 East Putnam Street Erath, La 70533 (337) 937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
